Back to Gordon Castle (3)
GORDON CASTLE [3]. AKA and see "Ballendaloch," “Cambdelmore," "Red Coat (The).” Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCCD. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of this tune to be in McGlashan's collection. However, Glen appears to have missed the printing of the sme melody in Robert Bremner's Scots Reels (c. 1757) under the title "Cambdelmore" (classed as a strathspey).
