Back to Grand Parade (3) (The)
GRAND PARADE [3], THE. English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was also printed by John Johnson in his 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 8 (London, 1758) and James Aird, in Selections of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs, vol. 1 (Glasgow, 1782, p. 4). It also appears in several musician's manuscript books, including the copybooks of American flute player Henry Beck (1786), Luther Kingsley (Mansfield, Conn., 1795 to about 1815), and Edward Murphy (Newport, RI?, 1790).
