Back to Grandpa's Reel (2)
GRANDPA'S REEL. AKA and see "Reel à Pépé," "Reel du Granpère." French-Canadian (originally), American; Reel. USA, New York State. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Phillips): AA'BB' (Bohrer/Kibler). Fiddler Chad Miller reports this was an older tune in the repertoire of his mentor, Winifred "Murph" Baker of Champion, New York. It is a common tune in Québec tradition (see alternate titles).
