Back to Hilltop (The)


HILLTOP, THE. AKA and see "Barr An Chnuic," "Boys on the Hilltop (The)," "Moving Bogs of Powellsborough (The)." Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Kevin Burke recorded the tune in 1981 under the "Hilltop" title, but it was originally recorded by fiddlers Paddy Killoran and Paddy Sweeney in New York in 1931 as "Boy on the Hilltop."
