Back to Honorable Mrs. F. Gray


HONORABLE MRS. F. GRAY. "Honorable Mr. Gray's Strathspey." Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The tune was composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831), according to John Glen. However, the tune was printed in Robert Mackintosh's 1793 collection as "Honorable Mr. Gray's Strathspey," reprinted by Robert Petrie in 1796.
