Back to Invitation (The)


INVASION, THE. AKA - "Invitation (The)." English, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. The title appears as "The Invation," in Vickers' original MS [1]. The melody first appeared in London publisher Charles and Samuel Thompson's 1765 country dance collection as "The Invitation."
