Back to Jackie Small's Jig


JACKIE SMALL'S JIG. AKA - "Port an Tailliuira Small, Tailor Small's (The)." Irish, Jig. E Dorian: A Dorian: D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Jackie Small plays uilleann pipes and accordion, and has had a rich and long career in Irish traditional music, where he has acted as rchivist, music collector, editor, broadcaster, and writer. He edited the final volumes of Brendan Breathnach's Ceol Rince na hÉireann, and has devoted himself to the Irish Traditional Music Archive activities.

Source for notated version: Small learned the tune from the playing of his father, a tailor by trade.
