JAMES BYRNE'S (REEL) [2]. AKA and see "Maids of Tullyknockbrine," "Rat in the Thatch." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. James Byrne (1946-2008) was a fiddler and a pig farmer from the mountainous Irish-speaking region of Glencolmcille, south-west County Donegal. He was a leading exponent of the Scottish-influenced Donegal style of fiddling.
