Back to Janine Randall's Strathspey


JANINE RANDALL'S STRATHSPEY. Canadian, Strathspey. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by the late Cape Breton fiddler Jerry Holland (1955-2009) for Janine Randall a pianist, composer and accompanist who is also the Director of the Céilidh Trail School of Celtic Music in Inverness, Cape Breton. During the non-summer months she resides in Boston and attends Gaelic Club meetings in the Canadian-American Club in Watertown, Mass., where she teaches Cape Breton style piano. Cape Breton fiddler Brenda Stubbert has also composed a tune in her honor, a march.
