Back to Joe Madden's Big Day

JOE MADDEN'S BIG DAY. Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Falmouth, Massachusetts, musician Bill Black to commemorate the testimonial day of accordion player Joe Madden (1938-2008), in New York's Gaelic Park, in February, 1992. Joe was a carpenter by trade and was originally from Portumna, County Galway. He was the father of Cherish the Ladies flute player Joanie Madden, who herself was honored some 15 years later.
