JOHN DORY [3]. English, Country Dance Air (6/8 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. This version was published by Playford in his Musical Companion of 1686 and in D'Urfey's Pills to Purge Melancholy of 1698; Chappell (1859) notes it seems a combination of "John Dory (1)" and "John Dory (2)".
