JOHNNY DOHERTY'S YELLOW TINKER. AKA and see "Jolly Tinker (3) (The)," "Tinker's Occupation (The)," "Yellow Tinker (The)." Irish, Reel. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). Chicago fiddler Liz Carroll recorded the tune under this title. Donegal fiddler John Doherty (1895-1980) was never called 'Johnny' by his intimates, and preferred to be called John.
