Back to Mad Boy (The)


MAD BOY (THE). Scottish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

Source for notated version: the William Mackie manuscript collection, early 19th century (Aberdeen). Mackie was a Highland and Scottish small-pipe player, whose collection contains music for both instruments, as well as a section that appears to have been for flute or violin.
