Back to Mr. Jamieson


MR. JAMIESON. Scottish, Reel. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Alexander Walker (b. 1819, Aberdeenshire) in honor of Mr. Alexander Jamieson, a teacher of music from New Pitsligo. Jamieson married Christina Watt in 1864, who was a teacher at a "female school." By 1871 he had a reputation as a "noted organist."
