Back to Mrs. Boswell of Auchinleck’s Reel


MRS. BOSWELL OF AUCHINLECK'S REEL. Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by John French (1752-1803), originally from Cumnock. Published in his posthumous 1803 collection Strathspey Reels &c., which collection was dedicated to Mrs. Boswell, the wife of James Boswell, Dr. Johnson's amanuensis.
