MRS. GORDON’S FAVORITE. Scottish, Slow Air (2/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. “Ancient Irish,” notes Gow, 1817. Gow’s note is right, for the tune is a variant of the air “Lord Mayo” AKA "Tiarna Mhaigh Eo,” composed by the harper David Murphy (Daithi O Murchu), and more commonly played in A Dorian.
