Back to Mrs. Stewart Kirkmichael's Reel


MRS. STEWART (KIRKMICHAEL’S) REEL. Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Robert Petrie, a fiddler and composer from Kirkmichael, Perthshire, and titled after Mrs. Stewart who lived in the same town. It appears in his Second Collection of Strathspey Reels and Country Dances, 1796, dedicated to his patron and employer, Mrs. Garden of Troup.
