Source for notated version: J.J. Stickle (Unst, Shetland) [Anderson & Georgeson]. John Stickle (1875-1957) was a cooper by trade, who made barrels for the herring fishing industry. He was descended from a German seaman shipwrecked on the islands in the latter 18th century, and a product of generations of Stickle fiddlers.
