BUCKBOARD. Old-Time, Quadrille. Appears as part (2nd tune?) of the "Old Red Barn Medley Quadrille" recorded on Edison 51236 (78 RPM) by fiddler John Baltzell in 1923. Baltzell was from Mt. Vernon, Ohio, the same town as minstrel Dan Emmett (d. 1904). Emmett returned to the town in 1888, poor, and taught Baltzell several tunes.
