FIDDLER'S DREAM [1]. AKA - "Fiddler's Trouble." Old-Time, Bluegrass; Breakdown. USA; Arizona, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee. G Major ('A' part), D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB' (Brody, Milliner & Koken): AA'BB (Phillips). Charles Wolfe (1978) says the tune, which was fashioned by Tennessee fiddler Arthur Smith, is "based vaguely on the changes of 'Flop Eared Mule,'" although the only similarity appears to be the I-V key change between parts. Some fiddlers start the tune on the first strain, while others on the second.
