MISS GARDEN (DELGATY’S) STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCCD. Composed by Kirkmichael, Perthshire, fiddler and composer Biography:Robert Petrie, included in his Second Collection of Strathspey Reels and Country Dances (1796, p. 13). The volume was dedicated to his patron and employer, Mrs. Garden of Troup. Petrie was an employee at Troup, though presumably had contact with the branch of the Garden family at Delgaty, an Aberdeenshire estate that had come into the hands of the family.
