MAD BESS. English, Jig. England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Matt Seattle, editor of the Vickers collection, says the tune is unique to the collection, and notices occasional resemblances to both "Irish Washerwoman (1)" and "Elsie Marley."
