McGUIRES LAMENT. Irish, Slow Air (3/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The air, which was once popular in the south of Ireland, is supposedly a variant of those used for the songs "Draherin-o-machree" (Little Brother of My Heart), "Narramore," "I grieve to think" and "Jimín Mo Mhíle Stór (Jemmy My Thousand Treasures)."
