MISS MAXWELL GORDON'S REEL. AKA and see "English Mariner (The)," "Geordie Affleck." Scottish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. There is no composer attribution with the tune in Pringle's c. 1805 collection, but the tune appears to be a composition of fiddler-composer William Marshall, who was employed by the Gordon family. It was previously published in Edinburgh by John Hamilton for Marshall, issued on a sheet with a few of Marshall's other compositions.

See also the Irish reel variants "Eammon Coyne's Reel" and "Mint in the Corn (The)."
