ADVENT. English, Air or March. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB’. A hymn by English composer John Wall Callcott (1766-1821), a student of Haydn's in London and organist. He was particularly famous for his catches, glees and cannons, for which he won many prizes. "Advent" is employed by Miller as a march.
