OLD FAITHFUL. Canadian, March (cut time). Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. Composed by the late Inverness, Cape Breton, fiddler Jerry Holland (1955-2009). The title refers perhaps to the Caledonia Coal Company mine near Little Glace Bay (Glace Bay) in which began operations in 1866. It was a productive, if small mine, and became known as Old Faithful.
