JERRY DALY'S HORNPIPE [2] (Crannciuil Diamaid Ui Dalaig). Irish, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also melodic and form (AABA phrase structure) similarities to "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine (2)."

Source for notated version: "J. O'Neill" [O'Neill]. Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill was a fiddler originally from County Down and Francis O'Neill's collaborator on his early volumes. James had a large repertoire, had early tutoring in music and was musically literate. He contributed a huge number of tunes to the O'Neill collections.

Printed sources: O'Neill (Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies), 1903; No. 1591, p. 295.
