O'CONNOR'S RANT. American, Reel (cut time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody appears in the c. 1880's music manuscript collection of biography:George W. Allen, about whom little is known. There are several tunes in Allen's collection that have O'Connor's name in the title, including "O'Connor's Trip to Dublin," "O'Connor's Clog" and "O'Connor's Hornpipe."
