LASSES OF FOCHABERS, THE. Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Biography:Alexander Walker. The village of Fochabers [1] lies in the Parish of Bellie, in Moray, Scotland. It was founded as a planned village in 1776 by Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon (1743–1827), who was fiddle-composer William Marshall's patron and employer.
