KITTY CLYDE'S. AKA and see "Miss Betsy Robertson," "Kitty Robertson," "Reel du chaloupier." Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A popular song was composed and published in 1853 by L.V.H. Crosby called "Kitty Clyde," no relation to this reel. "Kitty Clyde" was also the name of a famous thoroughbred racehorse, born in 1860 (and presumably named after the song). See also the Québécois version as "Reel du chaloupier."
