MISS ELIZABETH MYLNE'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Edinburgh musician, teacher and music publisher biography:William Shepherd (d. 1812). The subject is perhaps one of the family of Mylne of Mylnefield, Perth and Kinross, a family "related to the Master Masons to the King in the 17th century" according to the Gazatteer for Scotland [1].
