RED HOUSE OF CARDIFF (Tycoch Caerdyd). English, Country Dance Tune (4/4 time). England, Wales. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. A version of Playford's "Red House." The title has a reference to a town in Wales that was not in Playford's original title. Nicholas Bennett (Alawon fy Ngwlad, 1896) characterizes the tune as a pib-ddawns, or pipe-dance.
