REEL DU PARC [1] (The Park’s Reel). French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The 'A' part of the tune is shared with an untitled hornpipe in Kerr's Merry Melodies for the Violin (vol. 1, c. 1880's, p. 44). The reel was recorded twice by Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard; first in 1930 under his own name, and again in 1936 under the pseudonym ‘Maxime Toupin’.
