MAID'S RAMBLE, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. Although there is probably no direct relationship, 'Old Maid's Ramble' is the name of a geometric folk quilt pattern (triangles) popular at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
