JOGGING TO THE FAIR. AKA and see "Jockey to the Fair (1)," "Jockey to the Fair (2)." English, Morris Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCBCB. From the village of Bampton, Oxfordshire, England. The leader and fiddler for the Bampton Morris Men, William "Jinky" Wells (1868–1953), played the tune and was recorded on an old cylinder disc machine. The recording (AFC 1972/001, Disc Side 249 01:07) is in the James Madison Carpenter Collection of the University of Sheffield.
