KNOXVILLE RAG [2]. American, Old-Time; Breakdown. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Phillips): AABBCC (Christeson). No musical relation to "Knoxville Rag (1)." Source Frank Reed (1904-c. 1985) was recorded (with banjo player Alva Lee Hendren of Madison) by The Missouri Friends of Folk Arts for the "I'm Old But I'm Awfully Tough" (1981) and also issued a private label LP entitled "Ole Tyme Fiddlin'" (1976). Although originally from Randolph County, Reed in later life moved to the St. Louis area.
