LINNEN HALL. AKA - "Linnin Hall." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Raven): AABB (Aird, Williamson). In addition to the published versions below, the tune appears in the music manuscript collection of fiddler John Fife, who probably hailed from Perthshire, and who may have also made entries at sea (there are references to battles in Caribbean & the Mediterranean). John Rook, a multi-instrumentalist from Waverton, Cumbria, also entered "Linnin Hall" into his large 1840 music manuscript collection.
