REEL DU BÉDEAU (LE) (The Beadle's Reel). AKA and see "Morning Star (1)," "Reel de Tit-Pit." French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BBB'. The reel, a version of the Irish "Morning Star (1)" with parts reversed, was recorded in 1929 for Victor Records by Montreal fiddler biography:Joseph Allard (1873-1947). It was re-recorded in 1937 by Allard under the title "Reel de Tit-Pit." See also the very similar first strain of the Kentucky reel "Morgan on the Railroad (2)," and compare with the second strain of Allard's tune.
