PORK AND BEANS. AKA - "Quadrille fèves au lard," "Reel boule de neige," "Quadrille canadien -- 1ère partie." Canadian; Polka, Quadrille, Reel (2/4 time). G Major ('A' part) & D major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded under the "Pork and Beans" title by Don Messer and his band in the 1940's, but it was a cover and and English translation of Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard's "Quadrille fèves au lard]]," also released by the record company as "Reel boule de neige" (Snowball). Allard's recording was released in 1932.
