BALTZELL'S TUNE. American, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. Named for Ohio fiddler John Baltzell (1860-1940), who recorded in the 1920's, beginning in 1923 for the Edison label (only 3 months after Fiddlin' John Carson waxed the very first fiddle record).
