The second strain is cognate with the second strain of Canon James Goodman's "Touch Her if You Dare." Fr. John Quinn also finds a cognate in "Drunken Reel (2) (The)" from the 1883 music manuscript collection of Stephen Grier, of Gortletteragh, Co. Leitrim.
