AMATEUR [1] HORNPIPE. American(?), Hornpipe. Composition credited to one J. Hand in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883). There were two J. Hands (Johnny and James) who were possibly a bandleaders or principal musicians in the greater Boston area. They were perhaps brothers or father/son. "Can be used as a Clog."
