JOE O'CONNELL'S DREAM. AKA and see "Black-Eyed Sailor," "Broom (The)," "Lord Wellington (2)," "Sheehan's Reel," "Wellington's Reel (1)." Irish, Reel. A popular tune in the 78 RPM era, frequently recorded under a variety of titles. Donegal fiddler Hugh Gillespie recorded it in New York as "Joe O'Connell's Dream" (in a medley with "Paddy Finlay's Fancy," by which title has been mistakenly applied to "Joe O'Connell's" because the 'Paddy' title was listed first.
