GIGUE DES CAPUCHONS (Hood Dance). AKA - "Reel des capuchons," "Capuchons' reel." French-Canadian, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. A capuchon is an item of apparel-a hood that covers the head. Source Joseph Allard (1873-1947) played the tune 'square' (i.e. equal parts of equal measures), however, Rémi Laporte played the tune with a measure of 9/8 at the beginning of the second part.
