GOUROCK BAY [1]. Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the companion reel "Gourock Bay (2)." Gourock [1], from the Gaelic Guireag is a town on the seacoast of the old county of Renfrewshire in southwest Scotland. The first strain is identical to "Hawthorn Hedges," although the second strains differ.
