JOYFUL DAYS IS COMING. AKA and see "Durham Old Women." English, Jig (9/8 time). England, Northumberland. D Major (Vickers): G Major (Stokoe). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first strain is but a fragment. Matt Seattle notes the 2nd strain is perhaps related to "How She’ll Ne’er be Guided", or "Faraway Wedding (1) (The)." See also note for "Talk:Durham Old Women."

Printed sources: Stokoe & Bruce, Northumbrian Minstrelsy; p. 47 (appears as "Durham Old Woman"). Seattle (Great Northern/William Vickers), 1987, Part 3; No. 404.
