PANT CORLAN YR WYN. AKA - "Lamb's Fold Vale (The)," "Sheep Pen Vale (The)," "Let Now the Harp," "David of the Bluestone." Welsh, Song and Slow Reel (4/4 time) or Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Classical composer Joseph Haydn composed a setting of this tune (H 31b/22). The Contemplator [1] gives the following lyric:

Mehefin ddaeth, fugeiliaid mwyn
Ein defaid hwnt ynt heb eu hwyn
Yn ffoi'n lluddedig dan y twyn
I lyn neu frwyn am loches.
Y gwlanog gnwd i'r wyn a fu
Yn wenwisg deg drwy'r gaeaf du
Dymunant nawr i'r blaidd neu'r ci
Ei gwisgo yn eu lle, neu ni
O'u pwysig gnwd i feddu'r cnu
Sy'n llethu rhai rhy gynnes.

O'r weirglodd gul, a'r darren lom
Yr oenig drown, a'r ddafad drom
Yn siw cânt fynd, er maint y siom
Lle gwelom nesaf geulan
Dan honno, heb wneud iddi gam
Mor wyn â'r oen, ni wnawn ei fam
Ac wedi'i channu, heb ddweud pam
Ei gwisg a gneifiwn, ac heb nam
Am ei gwiriondeb â ar lam
Ei dinam ryddid yngan.
