At the time Morrison published his collection (c. 1813) William Montague (1768-), Duke of Manchester, who succeeded to the title in 1788. He married Susan, daughter of George, Duke of Gordon, in 1793, and had a son, George, born in 1799, also a Viscount Mandeville.
