GRANT LODGE. Scottish, Strathspey. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Athole, Marshall): AABB' (Kerr). Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833). Grant Lodge was in Marshall's time the house of Lady Ann Grant, Cooper Park, Elgin. It was the site of the last clan uprising in Scotland, when Lady Grant called for clan support in the affair of kidnapped political supporters. It is now a Local Heritage Center, containing a library, archives and genealogical materials.
