PRINCE OF WALES’ HORNPIPE [1]. English, Hornpipe. A Major (Sumner). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Gibbons originally set the tune in the key of ‘C’ major in his ms., while another Lincolnshire musician, Thomas Sands, set it in B Flat in his c. 1810 manuscript collection.
